Extreme Makeover: Home Edition Coming to Houston
Houston’s HHN Homes Selected as Key Builder

HOUSTON (July, 2010) . . . . The 8th season of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the Emmy-award winning hit reality show on ABC Television, is coming to Houston to surprise one very deserving family with an extreme home makeover. Award winning, Houston inner loop custom home builder/developer, HHN Homes is joining forces with local venders, businesses, and dedicated volunteers to help a deserving family.

HHN Homes is thrilled to have been selected as the 171st builder for the FIRST Houston Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Lee Harris and Linda Stewart, principals of HHN remarked, “We are taking on this challenge for one reason. . . we want to facilitate the generous Houstonians to join forces from all walks of life to change the life of one deserving family. Our goal is to construct a new house in one week!”

The home that will be constructed later this month is being meticulously designed by award winning Houston based architecture firm, Studio RED Architects in conjunction with the design team from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Not only will the deserving family receive a home that meets their wants and needs, measures are also being made to make sure their new house is both “green” and sustainable. This monumental project would not be possible without the unwavering commitment by the city of Houston, Mayor Annise Parker and her staff, and all the generous tradesman and suppliers that have jumped on board so far.

Ty Pennington, team leader of the show, as well as his design team, will notify the selected family by showing up at the family’s Houston-area home on Sunday, July 25th. 7/19/10: Pep rally for all volunteers – Houston’s First Baptist Church at 7:00PM
7/25/10: Family is notified, also known as the “Door Knock”
7/25/10: Braveheart Walk, also known as the kickoff of the build.
7/31/10: House Reveal, also known as the time for “Move that Bus!”
